Welcome to the 2010 9- & 10-year-old Illinois Little League State Tournament!

Dear Illinois Little League sectional champions, Little League officials, players, parents, family and fans:

Evergreen Park Little League and the Village of Evergreen Park are very excited to be hosting the 2010 9 & 10-Year old Illinois Little League State Tournament!

The tournament starts Saturday, July 31st and ends with the championship game on Thursday, August 5th.

Every game of the 9s-10s Little League Baseball State Tournament can be heard and seen through a Web cast. Please click here for the Web cast during games.

We're planning on making this a very special week for everybody. We have former Major Leaguer's Mike Huff and Billy Pierce throwing out first pitches along with SouthtownStar Sports writer Tony Baranek and other surprise guests throwing out the first pitch before each game. We have a a great banquet planned, with Mike Huff scheduled to be the speaker. We also have a visit from the Chicago White Sox Academy and a few other surprises for the week.

The 2010 Little League State tournament banquet will take place Saturday, July 31st at 5:15 p.m., at Standard Bank Stadium (14011 S. Kenton Ave. Crestwood) before the Windy City ThunderBolts play the Traverse City Bums at 7:05 p.m.. Each team has 40 tickets reserved for them to the banquet. We have reserved the Party Deck picnic area for the banquet and have also have sections reserved for seating during the game. There will be a fireworks show after the game. The 2010 EPAA All-Stars won 9 out of 19 tournaments that we entered. The tournament victories included four District 8 Championships, and four Section 3 Runners-Up

Great Season Boys! Next year we plan a return to State.
